Frequently asked questions.
The questions we get most often — what the solver actually does, how accurate it is, what costs money, and what happens to your data.
Magnetic field (B and H) from an analytical, mesh-free Biot–Savart solver, plus self-inductance L, mutual inductance M, coupling coefficient k and Q-factor from a Neumann mutual-inductance kernel with complete elliptic integrals. No FEM mesh, so results are deterministic and return in milliseconds.
Eight: circular Helmholtz, square Helmholtz, circular DTC, square DTC and the four cross combinations (circular DTC ↔ Helmholtz, circular Helmholtz ↔ DTC, square DTC ↔ Helmholtz, square Helmholtz ↔ DTC). Multi-coil layouts and parameter sweeps run on top of the same kernel.
Yes. The free tier gives you the Helmholtz topology with a monthly run allowance and no credit card. Pro unlocks every topology, the genetic optimiser, the AI assistant, unlimited runs and the export formats.
The kernels are benchmarked against published WPT literature — Helmholtz pairs, planar spirals and EV-charging pad geometries. Typical agreement with FEM tools in the magnetostatic regime is within 1–2 %. The methodology and residuals are on the validation page.
A native desktop build for macOS, Windows and Linux is in development and will run the solver in-process with no network round-trip. Until it ships, the browser app is the way to run simulations.
Yes — a public REST API plus a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server so AI agents can run real coil simulations. API keys are issued from your account page; the API docs page has the full reference.
KiCad footprints, DXF geometry, SPICE netlists, and raw JSON or CSV of the computed field and lumped parameters.
No. Your saved coils and calculation history belong to your account and are not used to train models. The privacy policy has the full detail on what is stored and for how long.
From Account → Security in the app. Deletion removes your profile, saved coils, calculation history and any stored files, on the spot.
